Populate cell value automatically between different tabs

Hi All,

I'm a newbie using Excel.
I was trying to populate the cell value entered in one tab to a cell in another tab,
but I couldn't make it happen.

The first tab is 'Pricing' and 2nd is 'Populated Table',
I define two cells in the 2nd tab like

cell D5: =+Pricing!D3

cell A2: =+Pricing!E1

Very interesting cell D5 can be populated correctly, but not cell A2.
It only shows '=+Pricing!E1' in the cell.
The only different I see is cell 'A2 covers more than one columns.

Can anyone shed some light how I can make it work correctly.

Attached is the Excel I talked about.

I'll appreciate any comments and suggestions.
