    Sorting

I have a sheet that has my customer list in the first column. Each customer has 9 rows of information associated with it. I want to sort my customers alphebetically but when I do that they all get grouped together and none of the associated information in the 9 rows associated with each customer is sorted with it.

Originally I had the 9 rows merged for one cell for the customer but i cant sort cells of different sizes!

    Please help.

depends of your exact layout but you can use/adapt this method

    Re: Sorting

Even by doing this, when I choose column A and try and sort it alphebeticall it still sorts it and puts the new sorted list in rows A2 A3 A4
I want them sorted but still keep them in the original cells....A2 A11 and A20

    Re: Sorting

It is a customer recommendation program list...so Column A and B is the customer and column C is the new customers that were referred by him. The rest is the hours accumulated and used within the program. So I think I want to kinda group all this information together (for lack of the proper word) so that when I add the rest of the customers I can alphebetize the customers and still keep all the information with it.

    Re: Sorting

YES!! That does work....Thank you so much.
BUT it doesnt look very pretty. Is there a way to do this without having to repeat the customer name?
