Hi,
you can use Insert Hyperlink option.
1st go to Insert>>2nd click on Hyperlink option (shortcut ctrl+k)
click on current folder and select file A.
you can change the name in to A5 of file A from Text to display.

Hi, I understand the possibility of mapping in the same file. But I need to link to file B(to a specific cell, not just to a document as a whole) from file A (specific cell)
Can any one please let me know is there any way this could achieved.
Thanks
Lets say in Book1/A1, I have a text named example in the cell, I do a right click on that and click on hyperlink, I would be navigated to "Insert Hyperlink" screen. From here how do I select "Book2/Sheet2/B10" is my problem. Hope I am clear!!!
on the left hand side there is a "Place In The Document" button click that and you can select the sheet and the "cell reference"
Pike, "Place in the document option refers to Sheet's in the same workbook". I have attached spreadsheets with comment, let me see this may explain or get a solution to my prob

in different work books select the "bookmark" on the right hand side
