What you have done is good but not quite what I am trying to do.
full sell price $100
commission rate 10%
payment to me $10
that's all pretty standard stuff.
but some of my manufacturers are looking to offer a discount to the end user in order to win the business so instead of selling for $100 they are selling for $97 and they would like to prorata the commission paid so insted of the full 10% they would pay the prorata percentage rate.
and conversly if the agent can sell the product for $110 the manufactuer pays the prorata commission rate .
I hope that make some sense.
