Duplicates in Multiple Sheets

Hi all

Can anyone advise if there's a way of finding duplicate information over multiple sheets?

I’ve got a lot of data over 4 sheets (each with 4 columns and at least 30,000 rows). Is there a formula I can use within a separate sheet that will return all duplicate data within a certain column? So for example, it will bring back any values that appear more than once in column D in any of the sheets? I don't want it deleted, just so I can see if it's there more than once.

This has been driving me crazy!

User countif formal.

=COUNTIF(A:A,A1)

Thank you, sorry, but I'm confused - won't this only count duplicates in that sheet? I need to include it over every sheet.

Basically, my spreadsheet shows names, addresses and order numbers. I need to make sure each order number is unique, if it is a duplicate to any other in any other sheet, then I want to be able to see it.

Is there a way of doing this?

in that case you have to merge all the sheets and then put the formula.

I'm sorry, I'm still confused. How would I merge the worksheets - together they're over 90,000 rows? Also, where would I put the formula you suggested. I've just tried it next to a row, however, it doesn't highlight duplicates, shows values of 1 and 0, but both show unique and duplicate fields?

As I said, sorry for being dense!
