    Service Contract Schedule

    Hi,

    I am looking to use a spreadsheet for a small project at work. I have a list of about 50 contractors that my employer uses for service contracts. I want to have the weeks of the year across the top of the page with the contractors name on the week when they are due for renewal, listing what the contractor does, how much the renewal is for and I would also like it to flag up perhaps a month before that renewal is due, giving me time to contact the contractor.

    Any help would be gratefully received.

    thanks...Gracust

    It looks like you have the workbook layout figured out, have you a specific question on it?

    Hi davesexcel,

    Many thanks for the reply. I just need to know how I set something like this up, particularly how I get it to notify me that a contract is due within the next month.

    Regards

    Re: Service Contract Schedule

    You need to look at conditional formatting. Not sure what version of Excel you are on. I will assume 2003.

    Let's say your Contract expiration dates are in column C and your data (minus headers is from A3:G500. Note: An example spreadsheet uploaded by you would eliminate the guessing.

    Select A3:G500 and Go to conditional formatting (Format>Conditional Formatting)
    "Use Formula" =AND(ISNUMBER($C3),$C3 -TODAY()<30)
    and select the formatting/colors you want. Does that help?

    Re: Service Contract Schedule

    ChemistB,

    Firstly, many thanks for taking the time to try and help me, much appreciated.

    I have uploaded a basic example of the sort of thing that I would like to use. I would like a reminder of when the contract is due to expire. The layout is a bit primative, any thoughts on how to improve this would be very welcome.

    Many thanks...Gracust
