    Question Extracting value from sentence

    Hello,

    Sorry for the double post but I have two seperate questions.

    In excel I am importing a value from Solid Edge.
    The linked value I get in excel is [1234.56 mm], unfortunatley i cannot cdalculate with this value. Can anyone please tell me how i can extract 1234.45 from this cell?

    Ps. because i am working with a imported link cell i cannot simply remove the mm from it without desturbing the link.

    =--SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(C2,"[","")," mm]","")
    Never use Merged Cells in Excel
