Link booking sheet to roster automatically

I am looking at writing a excel roster system .. 8 staff.. assign to job a and tally the hours .. I have one I put together that works .. now would like to improve.

I would like to have a individual job booking sheets that populated the daily roster automatically based on the job date(s).. and uses the data on the data sheet

How could I link the booking sheet to the daily roster so it automatically puts the info into the right daily roster???

Hope the question makes sense and would appreciate advise on how.. or at least how to start

It's hard to see what you are talking about...Maybe supply a sample of the workbook you want to improve on.
Right now somebody could supply a code, but it may not work because it is written on assumptions.

Supply a sample of the data and exact layout of your workbook, show in your sample what your end result should be.
Supplying all the details the first time will enable a faster solution.

Thanks .. Currentlty the attached allows manually entered data.. adds the hours and creates a roster summary (page 2)..
I need to keep track of extra parts of a booking .. the pre and post times ... so thought a booking sheet that the data is entered onto .. that would then automatically enter the data in the the roster on the right days would be the way to go.. the pre /post and job dates / timesare all different.. and the pre/post may only be one staff member

Ideally I would eventually get it to also automatically enter the jobs in the staff members OUTLOOK Calender but thats a why off at this stage.

Hi Southernw2002;

What you're asking for can be done, you'll want to do it yourself, because you will always be tweaking it to make it more efficient. As you develop it, you can ask questions along the way.

I suggest you start by recording a macro that copies data from your daily sheet to your weekly sheet.
With that as a place to start, you can start asking specific questions about how to proceed.
