creating a time-trial leader board

Hi Excel forum

For a time trial competition at our gym im trying to create an auto updating leader board however considering my only excel experience is installing it its proving a bit difficult!

so my columns will be name / male/female / best time so what i need is for the best time column to arrange itself in ascend to decend order and for the corellating name and *** to follow the time as it moves if that makes sense.

If any one had a template or could explain in simple terms how i could achieve this i would be most grateful and who knows one day i might be able to return the favour!

I can't see why you need to automate it. It's so easy to create your table and use Excel's Sort feature

i know that will sort the time column out for example but the names wont follow the times will they? Thanks for your help
