    Merge to Word mailing labels

Excel 2007 to Word 2007 mailing labels issue. I set the label size, select the recipients, select the fields, update the records and all looks good until I hit preview - only three labels filled in on top row and two labels on lower right of bottom row - leaving entire center of the page with no information.....what setting(s) have I missed or messed up?
    Thanks

Could just be your preview, have you printed to check?

regretfully, YES - print came out just like the preview - all of the info is in there somewhere, because the final print out from one showing to next one showing allows for all labels in between, if you know what I mean.

Re: Merge to Word mailing labels

It sounds like a step has been left out. I always merge to "Individual Documents" so that I can check that the merge went ok then print from that document. The "Individual Documents" are really just the labels shown on Word pages. It isn't a whole bunch of Word documents.

Merging to Printer doesn't give you the chance to stop the process if something isn't right.

After doing that, hold down the Alt key and hit F9 to toggle the field codes. All labels except the first label should start with { NEXT }. If all the labels don't have the { NEXT } to start, something has gone wrong with the merge. Look for what is different between the labels that show correctly and those that don't. It is probably something simple.
