Multiple x-axis labels on a single bar chart

I want to chart sales for this year and last year, by region and by product type, in a single bar chart (this year and last year sales next to one another).

I can see how to do this for each product type by itself, but if I want the chart to also display the region (and only do so once per region) how do I do that? I can do this if I create a PivotChart, but I don't see how to do this with a plain chart on basic data.

(I've attached a sample sheet to this thread - Current is what I have currently, and Desired is, well, what I desire. But without having to use a PivotChart)

delete the duplicate entries in column A, then highlight A2 to D11 and create a standard column chart. See attached in the Data sheet.

Wow, when am I going to stop learning new things about Excel?

I just joined and posted a new thread about this but closing it, should have looked here first! Only thing to remember is you can't sort your data in such a way that the higher-level category gets out of order.
