Arrow Substitute, Find or Replace? Need Advice

    Hello Guys,

I have cells that contains multiple words in a cell and I'd like to remove 2 of them. For instance, I have "Cyclicals - Long" in F1 and "Cyclicals - Short" in G1. I need a formula that will remove both "-Short" and "-Long".
I have found the formula =SUBSTITUTE(G1,"- Short","") , but don't see how to combine both arguments into one formula.

    Thanks in advance

From your examples, it seems that you only want the left part of the string up to the first space. If so, then:

where, "A1" is the column with the string to be cracked.
