    Remove parts of the x-axis?

    Hey guys!

I'm trying to make a chart where I'd like to plot data measured every 30 min from 8 am to 6 pm during two days. I have one column with the dates and times and one with the data. When I make the (scatter) chart, excel scales my x-axis so that I have two complete days with 30 min interval on my x-axis. This means that in the chart I have the two end points (end of day 1 and start of day 2) connected with an ugly straight line.

So my question is, can I remove the part of the x-axis that is uninteresting? I'd like to have the end value of day 1 and start value of day 2 next to eachother.

    Thanx!
    /s

If you have equi distance data points, except for the gap you want removed, you can use a Line chart instead of xy-scatter.

Make sure you set the axis to Category (Text)
