If value in column A = x, paste y in column B

    If value in column A = x, paste y in column B

    Basically I want to do a series of the title example

    so if Column A's value is 6, I want 5 to be pasted in Column B, for example

    Do you mean?

    =IF(A1=6,5,"")

    so if A1 has a 6, then enter a 5 else leave it blank.
