Autofilter effecting formula integrity

Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet with headings from A-S. The cells are filled with numbers and some have formulas that reference other cells in the same row.

What I want to do is apply a filter to the headings so that I can sort each heading in ascending or descending order. The problem is when I sort any of the columns, the cells that contain formulas no longer hold true. Im not that great with excel but Im sure the knowledgeable people here can help me out. Oh yeah, Im using excel 2007 btw.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

I figured out what was happening. Its hard to explain, but I had a reference to a cell that kept changing as I sorted the data.
