Dynamic Charts on Excel

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and office user to excel app.

I have worksheet with data on it and and automatic filter to filter information and I would like to know how to create a graphic that will display only info I filtered.

i.e
Table has a Description Field, DetailDescription, Cost cells. If I filter the Description to i.e Food&Beverage it will only display the value "Cost" cells I have with Food&Beverage. I would like the graphic/chart to display this values or if possible show each value for the DetailDescription within the filtered Food&Beverage.

The purpose here is not to create a chart every time I need to look at data..
I am using 2003.
Can you help?

I'm able to make it work trying a couple different scenarios.

Perhaps you could edit your data a little so you don't reveal anything confidential and attach a workbook so we can see exactly where it's not working for you.

The example you gave me is good.. a bit confusing when you gather all the data cause it get overlayed but I suppose its normal.

Attach you can find an example near of what I Will be using.. The diference from that you yours is that you will have a date columm. The goal will be:

Filter per Description and check the debit evolution along the year
Filter per Detail and check the Debit along the year
