fill formating cells based on 2 dates (beginning and ending dates)

based on the attached image... i need help on making the following work,

    DATA:
    - i have 30 rows numbered 1 to 30
    - i have 2 given dates within a month (30 days), a BEGINNING date and an ENDING DATE date (ex. Beginning = June 4, 2010 and Ending = June 18, 2010)

    I WOULD LIKE TO:
    - shade row 4 (color blue) if the beginning date is June 4, 2010 and continue shading rows 5 to 17 with color blue until such time it reaches the ending date of June 18, 2010 which i would like to be colored red.

please do forgive me if this is too much of a task, i'm still trying to learn excel and don't have any knowledge in VB. any help is very much appreciated
