excel 2003 - click through to link spreadsheet

Just got a new PC. Had excel 2003 on old one and again on new one. in old version, when I double clicked on a cell in excel that had a formula linking to another cell/sheet, it automatically took me to the referenced cell or opened up the spreadsheet and took me to the cell. How do I get my new settings to do the same trick? Thanks

Menu=>Tools/Options/Edit tab, uncheck "edit directly in cell"
