Date calculation-certain periods

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me with my problem.

I have a problem with the calculation of dates. We have certain periods given and people who have been working within these periods. The problem is that the time the people stay is overlapping with the ends of the periods.

So I'd like to know how many days the people actually stayed in the respective periods.
