    Excel 2003 vs. 2007 compatibility

I am currently using Excel 2003, but am planning to buy a new computer and upgrade to Office 2007/2010. My clients are still using Excel 2003, so I must have my files compatible for their use. What's the best/simplest way to do this? Will the files retain their current 2003 extension, or will I need to modify them?

You need to develop in 2003 & test in 2007
    Hope that helps.

Re: Excel 2003 vs. 2007 compatibility

I do all development in 2007 (now 2010) and save in Excel 97-2003 format as I find excel 2007 faster to develop in now, but I test in 2003/2002 depending on my clients!

Once you know what features arnt available its not too bad, and Excel 2007 will tell you a lot of things before you save!
