dependents lists & checkbox option help

    Hi Guys,

i am just a new beginner to using VB in excel. I am trying to cut down my time on keying all the data into excel. therefore i came out with this excel spread sheet.

    first issues i have encounter
    1. i have a combo drop down lists & list box.

combo drop down list i change to DeptName & list box to empName
in column A i name to DeptName & Column B name to empName. Column C name to locationlist is stand alone.

I need to use validation methods, as when i choose dept name, list box should only show the name of EmpName from that dept only, as for Locationlist is a stand alone. i understand using the excel spreadsheets, but i don't try understand how to apply this method onto VB in the user form

    2. I have check options e.g, how do i calculate if 9 check option been check out of 10, i need to do a percentage calculation.

thanks a lot, really appreciate your kind help
