    dynamically added rows

i have a spreadsheet where i basically cut and paste 10-12 different access databases, in an effort to compare them.

the problem is that the databases once pasted in do not line up (entry 10 might be entry 11 in one, or it could be entry 9 in another and skip entry 10 entirely)

because of this my spreadsheet is useless. Ideally, i would like something that will insert blank spaces where there are no #'s available and then put everything in place for me

ill attach a small part of the spreadsheet so you have an idea what im dealing with, and what i am doing manually to this entire spreadsheet. the full spreadsheet currently is over 1250 lines long and stretches to CK.

    please help!

    Re: dynamically added rows

Not sure I understand your example. The input is rows 1:16 and the output is?? or the input rows 25:down and the output is rows 1:16 - inwhich case how do we know what goes where?

Depending on what you're trying to achieve, manipulating data like this is pretty straightforward - but I am a bit confused about what you're trying to do...

    Re: dynamically added rows

Insert a header row above your data.

Then select (what are now) A1, G1, M1, and S1, and in the Names box, left of the Formula bar, enter keys

    Then run AlignKeys:

If you answer my questions I can help for free - and if you want, give some money to ActionAid for me.

If you feel really indebted please consider a donation to charity. My preferred charity is ActionAid but there are plenty of worthy alternatives.
