    hi again guys last time i came on here i was really helped thanks again!!!

    now to the problem:
    i have created my own football table thing which is like the world cup i have the group stages done and now i need a way for it to pick the top 2 of each group and label them

    1st = winner group A
    2nd = runner up group A

    but only when they have played "x" amount of games so they can go forward onto the knockout bit of the tourney i have them in a table which is ranked and then spat out using vlookup which is working fine, so all in all i have a vlookup table which is working and once it has played "x" games i need a winner and runner up of each group plz help cant seem to think or find a formula for this..........

    Cheers guys!!!

    Hi Liam... Be sure to read through the Forum Rules so you can use and follow them effectively. For instance, you'll need to EDIT that post above and Go Advanced so you can put in a title appropriate to the topic.

    Perhaps: "First and Second place from a data set"

    Then, while you're in there, use the paperclip icon to attach a workbook showing the data and examples of your desired results, we'll try to help convert that to a formula.

    Re: HELP LOL think its called labeling...

    Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
    To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.
