    Pivot Table Options

    Hello all,

I am wondering if there is a way to have apivot table list something in every row, even when the column after it is in the same group. For example, if the first column is a date field, and the second column is an order # field, all of the dates for orders of the same day will be blank, except the top one.

I understand why it does this, but for my particular application today, I would like it to fill down.

    Here is my example picture.

There is no method of doing this, pivot tables ae not supposed to resemble data tables and this is one of the main reasons it does not have that functionality.

This question comes up quite often actually

You can insert a column to the left and generate a formula to fill it in for you, though. If you wanted, although it destroys the looks.

OK, thanks for the speedy reply. I will just have to try and find a new way to produce what I need.

EDIT: how do I mark this thread Solved? I have forgotten since it's been a while since I've posted here.

I believe you go under edit on your original post and change the prefix to [Solved] (should be a drop down box)
