I have a few cells in my spreadsheet which contain formulas and I would like to protect those cells from being accidentally edited. Is there a way to do this?

Yes, First select the entire worksheet and format cells>Protection and uncheck "Locked"
Then select the cells you want to protect and do the same but Lock them. Then Protect worksheet with a password. Does that work for you?

Don't forget to mark threads as "Solved" (Edit First post>Advanced>Change Prefix)

Forum Rules: How to use code tags, mark a thread solved, and keep yourself out of trouble
Right click -> Format cells -> protection -> Uncheck Locked
then
Review -> Protect sheet -> Select Locked or Unlocked cells (wich you want to be selected or not)
Never use Merged Cells in Excel
Thanks. Now, how do I make it say "SOLVED" in these forums?
If your problem is solved, please say so clearly, and mark your thread as Solved: Click the Edit button on your first post in the thread, Click Go Advanced, select [SOLVED] from the Prefix dropdown, then click Save Changes. If more than two days have elapsed, the Edit button will not appear -- ask a moderator to mark it.
