    Opening file with extension xls

    Why do I get two file opening when I open an xls file.
    Both show (Compatibility Mode)

    Is this any .xls file or one file in particular ?

    If the latter, close one of the "versions" (windows) and save the file - then re-open and see if the issue has been resolved.
