    Formula compatibilities

    Afternoon everyone,
i made a tool for my office staff to use for everyday purpose, but i am having some issues getting it to be compatible in xls format i created it in xlsx and saved it in xls. Now when some on my staff go to open it it asks to update and after its done i get a # name error and the information is not generated in the cell. can some one look at my sheet and maybe give some insight please.

    Re: Formula compatibilities

The IFERROR function doesn't exist in versions of Excel prior to 2007.

You also have a circular reference in D2.
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

    Re: Formula compatibilities

The IFERROR() function is not compatible with earlier versions of excel...

you should replace with formula like, in F2

This part in the D2 formula: MATCH($D$2,PO_ref!$A$1:$E$1,0) there is no names in PO_ref!$A$1:$E$1... do you mean? MATCH($D$1,PO_ref!$A$1:$E$1,0)

    Re: Formula compatibilities

If you use .xls compatible functions, yes you can create in 2007 and save as 2003 for others to view/use.

    Re: Formula compatibilities

ISNA() checks to see if the result of an argument is #N/A error and returns TRUE or FALSE
