Arranging columns

Hi all,

I'd like to find a solution for this worksheet.
I have several columns (A, C, E, G, I) which have in many cases the same value.
To those columns belong B, D, F, H & J.
I'd like these columns to be sorted/arranged next to each other if the value in these columns is the same and that the value remains.

Hello Paddy, welcome to the forum.

Maybe this as a starting point.
Shift your cells C to J well to the right an use Vlookups to look up the values according to the code in column A.

What do you want to do with codes that are not in column A?

Hey Teylyn,

Thanx for the prompt reply.
Maybe I was not entirely clear in how I want the file to look.
Attached I've added a by-hand sorted file which maybe shows better what I mean.
(I deleted some items, way too much work)
It's possible that column A is empty, but one of the other columns is filled so all rows should drop a row.
If you want to take a look at the file, you probably understand what I mean.
I'm afraid some script is required here
