Keeping the formatting in a text cell

I have cell A1 with value 100 and cell A2 with value 50
The result is calculated in cell A3 and is 0,5 (A2/A1 = 0,5)

I re-format the result in cell A3 to percentage, which returns 50% (which is correct).

I want to create a text string in a new cell; example:
    =”The reduction is “&A3

The result in the new cell is ‘The reduction is 0,5’
I want excel to show the precentage as ‘The reduction is 50%’

Can someone tell me what to do to keep the percentage formating in cell A3 ?
