    Create a signature field?

Can you create a signature field in Excel?

I'm wondering if you can duplicate the process used by the hand helds that (say) the UPS guy uses to have you sign for a parcel.

I know I can use the free form in autoshapes to draw a signature with my mouse. But that's a little too complicated for my needs.

    Regards

    The simple answer is "yes".

What are you expecting to use as an input device? The input device often has options that will push you down a certain route.

I have not chosen a 'particular' manufacturer but I'm headed down the ruggedized tablet route similar to the Getac 840XT or Motion Computing's F5. (If you know of any others like these I'd be grateful to here about them)

"you should be ok with an InkEdit control or RichEdit control"

I would have to suggest that, after googling InkEdit and RichEdit, I'm much less the wiser for filling my noggin up with incomprehensible information, and that you must think much more highly of my most basic computer skills than I have let on.

Could you brief me on how these two commands or codes might be hlpful to me under my circumstances? (Preferably in some form of redneck-ese?)

    Thx
    Dave
