Thumbs up Multiple matching entries displayed as one record with cumulative totals

How do I show multiple entries for an ID number as one Row with the Day Hours (column B) being summed everytime that ID number is added to a list in a different Worksheet

    EG

    (COL A) COL B
    ID HOURS
    A15 5
    A15 5
    A15 5

On worksheet B I need this to display as

    ID HOURS
    A15 15

(if an ID code is entered for the first time it should be added to Column A but after that only the Hours should sum per entry)

Sorry difficult to explain - please see my example attached for hopefully more clarity.

    Thanks

Scroll down in the reply and/or edit, there is a button that says manage attachments.

Try converting your Sheet1 range to a list via Data|List|Create List

Then create a Pivot Table from that list.. Data|Pivot Table...

Then when you add new entries, go to the table and right-click|refresh.

    It will auto update.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

How are you getting to attach files? For me not working.

Are you using 2003? If so go to Data menu... there should be a LIST option near the bottom, then click it and select Create List... only outline what you have now A7:A11 in your Q1301 sheet.

Maybe only affects certain browsers.. using Firefox... so I can't even Edit!

You can hide the blank row in the PT by right-click and select HIDE

Thanks very much - I will work on it and see how I get along.

No idea why it started working?
