Link pdf files to excel on server

Good day all,

Let me start off by saying:
Acrobat 7.1 excel 2007

From all the material I have read online, I'll be to the point here:

In plain english, I want to click on a word in an excel "cell" and it open the entire PDF file to a specific page (not page 1) WHILE being able to scroll the rest of the pdf file after that, BUT not going through a URL

Seems excel is dropping the parameters when I do a #destination or a #page=. The destination box works inside acrobat when I click on a set destination, I create, it does go to the set destination.

Im trying to keep this as simple as possible to the end user (KISS method)

Caveats:

**Both the excel file and pdf file are in the SAME server but different folders.
**It works when the pdf file on online at a http://..... but I cant use that method here due to the server.

Anyone run into this with a good solution? I appreciate the assistance !
