    Reducing digits without rounding

In 2003 excel, would it be possible to reflect data in millions (without rounding and sacrificing data accuracy). For example, I'd like to reflect 1,275,000 as 1.3, but then be able to run performance figures from this number and have them accurately report from the 1,275,000. Thank you!

    Hi,

    Format > Cells > Number > Custom

Enter 0,,.# in the dialogue box.

    To display as 1.3M

    Enter 0,,.#"M"
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1
