    Sumproduct selecting dates betwee two date values

    hello,

    By using the sumproduct formula I'm trying to sum all the dates that are within March.

    ,--('DATA MARCH 2010'!$Q$1:$Q$1000>=DATE(2010,3,1)),--('DATA MARCH 2010'!$Q$1:$Q$1000<=DATE(2010,3,31))

    Colomn Q is full with dates. When I use this formula I get 0 as result. Manually I add a date lik 15 March 2010.

    Does somebody knows the solution?

    Thanks!

    There are parts missing in the formula above. Are you testing other things too? If so, do they match at the same row(s) as your March entries?

    Are your dates in column Q really dates? Not text entries?

    Select Column Q and go to Data|Text to Columns and skip to the 3rd dialogue... then choose Date in the data column format area... choose from the dropdown, the format that best describes what you think you have.. ie.. MDY or DMY and then click Finish.

    Does that change anything?

    If not, perhaps post a sample workbook void of confidential data.
