I need a vlookup formula for a column that starts with store number.
The problem is that each store has name right after the store number and store numbers vary from 1 to 4 digits.

you could use something like the attached (cloumn C) to extract the numbers only in in a helper column and vlookup to this, post a small sample if you can't get it
as long as store number is unique
=VLOOKUP(E1&"*",A1:B100,2,FALSE) where e1 contains full store number
