    Format problem with text delimited

    Hi Guys
I keep getting a problem with a spreadsheet when I save as text delimited.
I have a spreadsheet with lots of skus, ranging from 001 to 1250
I have to change the format in the cell for eg 001 as it defaults to 1.
When I save the worksheet in text delimited it is 001.
When I open it again it is 1.
This has a big effect on product upload as the system I use does not recognize 1 the same as 001.
How can I easily prevent this from happening.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Neil

Re: Format problem with text delimited

Are you saving as .csv or .txt?

If .csv ... then rename it to .txt...

When you open a .txt file, you should be presented with a Text to Columns dialogue,

You should select delimited and then click Next.. then select comma, click next..

Now in the Preview Pane, select all the columns that have the "Text" numbers you want... Then select Text from the column data format area.. and then click Finish to apply...
Where there is a will there are many ways.
