My desire is to have the previous rows formatting / formulas copied to a new row when a user clicks on it and starts to enter data. I had thought a Macro might be the only way to do this, however I have also found Lists (>data >create list), which works a treat.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to protect the worksheet (prevent selecting locked cells) in such a way that the List feature isn't broken. When protected, it doesn't offer to add new rows as before.

Is it possible to lock down a worksheet and still use Lists? Or perhaps a Macro is the only way to go here to achieve that?
