    showing x and y labels

    Hi,

I am trying to plot a line graph with some data. I can plot the graph easily. However, I am finding difficulty in naming the X and Y axis with relevant information.

How do I type along the Y axis saying Y axis is showing this data and X axis is showing this data ?

Just as in the image which I have attached, I wanted to show something as Sin(theta) and theta (angle) in my graph..but I have not been able to find from where i do it...

    I didn;t get you..

    i have something like

    time distance
    1 2
    2 1
    3 5

    and so on...

i can plot the graph of time vs distance...but i have not been able to label y axis as time and x axis as distance..

    how to do it ??

Right click chart and pick chart options.
On the Title tab enter required axes titles.

That it is the problem which I am having. When I right click on the chart, there is no such option. I am attaching the screen shot of it .

Your profile says you have xl2003.

For xl2007 use Chart Tools > Layout > Labels > Axis Titles >
