    Canceling out zeros

    Hey everyone,
I am pulling some data from a few sheets onto another and if there is no data to pull it enters a zero 0 value in the cell. How do i stop that? here is my formula....Thanks in advance
    =SUMIF([ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!F:F,B2&"*",[ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!O:O)

    Re: Canceling out zeros

If you don't want to see any 0's at all, then format the resultant cells with custom: 0;-0;;@

otherwise, you can use formula like:

    =IF(COUNTIF([ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!F:F,B2&"*"),SUMIF([ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!F:F,B2&"*",[ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!O:O),"")
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: Canceling out zeros

There are two options, you could put your formula inside an IF statement
    =IF(SUMIF([ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!F:F,B2&"*",[ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!O:O) =0,"",SUMIF([ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!F:F,B2&"*",[ABFOUT.xlsx]ABF!O:O))
which returns a blank if the result is 0.

Or, you can use Excel Options>Advanced>Display Options for this Worksheet and uncheck "show a zero in cells that have a zero value"

Can you use either of these?
