Sorting by month

I'm working on Office 2000 today (uuugh!)

Trying to sort some data by month (as per attached sample) but all it does is read the months alphabetically. How do you tell it to sort by DATE?!

u need like this,i just select & sort.it's work...,,

Might work on alternate versions of Excel but not on 2000 it seems.
