    Count Consecutive #'s

    Hello.. I am doing some statistical analysis, and need some help:
    I have a spreadsheet containing 30 columns filled with numbers. I am wanting to count the # of times the #1 appears consecutively. For Example:

    Col A
    4
    5
    1
    1= 2 Times
    3
    4
    4
    3
    1= 1
    2
    1
    1
    1
    1
    1= 5

    I have done this before, but it was for Alphas, not numerics, and can't figure out the formula edit to make it happen for numerics

    Note: I'll have to do this for Columns A through AB... I am assuming I will just edit the range in the formula

    Re: Count Consecutive #'s

    What is required is a criterium for which rows the subtotal should be given.
    Now it is for the 4th, 5th, 6th row (or 4th,9th,15th).

    What is that criterium?

    Why not post this formula and see if someone can modify it for this situation?

    Someday someone will have the same problem and do a search on "Count Consecutive #'s" and find this thread, eagerly reading to find the solution, then...nothing.

    Can you please post your solution? Thanks!
