view typing on a worksheet - using Mac

Is there a way to see what you are typing in a cell, other than showing it in the formula bar at the top?

Wow thanks for the quick response.
I am using Excel MAC 2008.
It must be something in my setup as it does not show in the cell until I click on the return key. I am using it as an order form and it would be helpful to see it in the cell as I am typing.
