paste special does not work properly, help!

I have been trying to use paste special-value function to copy a large amont of data from one workbook to another workbook. It worked perfectly fine until today. When I click 'paste special', the paste special window is different, treating the data I am trying to copy as pictures, with pictures,bitmap etc to choose from but no 'value' option. Is there any way to fix it?

Hi - Yes, I've also encountered this recently and I wonder if one or more of the cells (esp. the 1st one you're trying to copy) might something unusual that's triggering the imaging mode for the Paste Special process. You might try a smaller group of cells to see if you can get the proper Paste Special menu to return (at least that seemed to work for me). Good luck

I have also getting this issue. I've already tried pasting from a single cell, and still giving me the same Paste Special options. Please help.
