Can you have more than 1 number in a cell and still have formula's work

Ok just when you think your getting somewhere a new issue turns up.
I have the stock database setup and on the 2nd page i enter stock leaving us a a minus number & stock received as a normal number. Which then affects stocks levels on page 1 & stock profits on page 3.

I used - numbers for stock sold so when calculating profits, it will only pick up minus numbers in the calculations for a correct total & leave the stock being delivered off the daily profits amount. (prob a easier way, but the way seems to work)

What i need now though, is if i have stock sold & stock delivered of the same item on the same day....how would i go about entering this into the database within the same cell so the formula's still work ?

    Is this possible
    Thx

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

I have attached a dummy spreadsheet that hopefully shows what i need doing.
I just need to know if there is a way to add 2 different amounts into 1 cell on page 2, if we have stock delivered & also sell stock of the same type on the same day and how to have these figure's work in the formula's in place

    Thx

You will need to actually give an example or two of expected outcome and how they were derived.
