    Tab Colour

    Hi guys,

Is it possible to change the colour of a tab based on the value of one or many values in a set of cells in one column.

I have column Z, rows 4-86 set to calculate figures entered in other cells, If any of the numbers in Z4 - Z86 go over 0 I have a conditional format set to turn that particular cell red.

What I would like is also for the tab colur of the worksheet to change to red as well if any of these cells are over 0

    Is this possible?

    Many thanks

    Paul

    Re: Tab Colour

A not too dissimilar question asked recently which may / may not be of interest to you ?

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...condition.html

in reality you will need to adapt the above based on

    a) when you want the tab colour to update

    b) what governs values within range Z4:Z86 changing ?
ie do these cells contain formulae or are they updated via manual entry ?

    Re: Tab Colour

    Hi

    Thanks for the quick reply,

I have looked at that thread but it seems to me that it doesn't fit with what I would like

    In reply to your questions

A, I would like the tab colur to change if any of the figures in one, many or all of the cells in Z are more than 1

B, The figures in the rows are calculated based on a simple formula referencing other cells on the same worksheet, but, these other cells are referenced back to different worksheets (I hope that makes sense?)

I would be grateful fo any advice you could offer

    Thanks for your time

    Paul

Without working back to est. "prime mover" cells you would need to utilise the Calculate Event, ie:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
To insert the above right click on the tab you wish to colour - select View Code and paste above into resulting window ensuring file is Macro enabled thereafter.

Thank you very much - that has worked perfectly.
