    Re: Filtering Dates

in a separate column enter something like:

=Month(A2) and copy down.. where A2 contains first date in your database... then you can filter by the month number in this column...

If want to display month in text... then use: =Text(A2,"mmmm") copied down
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: Filtering Dates

So assuming those dates are in Column E... then put a formula in the column after the last used column: =TEXT(E2,"mmmm") and copy it down the column by clicking and dragging down the little black square at bottom right corner of the cell...

then go to Data|Filter|Autofilter.. click the arrow in the added column and select the month to filter for.

    Re: Filtering Dates

If you want to make a separate little table, let's say in N1:O12, In N1:N12, type the full name of the months (January, February, etc), Assuming your travel dates are in Column C1:C100, in O1, dragged down, you can put this formula
    =SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT($C$1:$C$100,"mmmm")=N1),--ISNUMBER($C$1:$C$100))
    Does that work for you?
