I've been using a spreadsheet and suddenly the formulas have stopped working. However if I put the cursor on the formula bar and Enter, it activates the formula. For example, on the attached SS the formulae in R1:R10 do not work when the date range in C1 is selected. What can I do to remedy this. Thanks.

Without opening your sheet... try going to Office Button, then click Excel Options...
Select Formulas from the left pane and select Automatic in the right pane at the top calculation area.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Thank you. I had already tried that and just re-tried. Same result. i have also tried repairing excel but nothing was detected.
NBVC gave me a hint but the solution was for that sheet Formulas>Calculation Options. The global setting was Automatic but the specific sheet somehow was set to Manual. All OK now. Thanks.
