    Copy shapes in excel 2007

    Hello,
In Excel 2003 I used to copy Shapes just by selecting a cell on which the shape was positioned. In Excel 2007 this does not function any more; I am only able to copy a shape after selecting the shape itsself.
Not a real problem of course in normal life, but the copy functionality is built into VBA.

Any trick to regain this copy shapes by selecting a cell?

    regards,
    Bart

Go to Excel Options - Advanced then check "Cut, copy and sort inserted objects with their parent cells"

    Thanks, but .....
"Cut, copy ....." was already checked.
Unchecking it does not solve my problem.

    Any other idea?

You need the setting Huron suggested.
You also need the shape to be completely with in the range being copied.

Can you post example of a workbook where the copy does not work for you.
    Cheers
