    Date autoformat

I am importing .csv or .txt data from another program. Excel likes to autoformat anything that looks like a date/time value. For example 3-1 is imported, and excel autoformats it as March 1, 2010.

How do I prevent Excel from automatically applying Number Formats to cell values?

    Re: Date autoformat

make sure the csv is saved as .txt
when you import it change the field from general to text
