    Using DATE in Excel 2003

    Hi,

    I am new to Excel and we use version 2003 at work. Currently I need to create a date using the DATE() function, and have been experimenting with:

    =DATE(YEAR(NOW()), MONTH(NOW()), DAY(NOW()))

    to try and generate today's date as an exercise in using the DATE function without success.

    Where am I going wrong please?
